Markus is a professional native German voice actor based in Los Angeles with more than 15 years of professional voice-over experience and extensive acting training. He records in native German and English, including English with little to no accent and authentic German-accented English at varying strengths. His warm, resonant baritone voice ranges from grounded and conversational to dark, dramatic, authoritative, and character-driven. His work spans video games and character performance, commercials, documentaries and narration, e-learning, audiobooks, corporate content, audio guides, dubbing/ADR, and branded media. His acting background supports authentic, emotionally grounded performances and quick response to direction. With a long professional background in translation and localization, Markus has a strong ear for natural German phrasing and can identify awkward wording, mistranslations, and other script issues when needed. He records from a professional double-wall treated booth in Los Angeles using a Neumann U87 Ai or Shure SM7dB through a Universal Audio Apollo Twin X Gen 2, with Reaper and iZotope RX 11. Live-directed sessions are available via Source-Connect, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, and he can travel to studios throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
